  1. Hi there !

I wonder if you would know of a Canadian company that converts cargo vans into campervans. I’m 61 years old and I’m looking at buying the Ford Transit Connect and converting it into a van. I am not able to do this work at all and I’ve been looking on Internet for the past month.

By the way, I love your little fireplace and the overall look of your van. You really made it your Home.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond.

    1. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with with a specific Canadian van converter, except maybe with the well-known RoadTrek in Kitchener, Ontario. Their regular models, like with most converters are using the larger commercial cargo vans, and not their smaller versions like the Transit Connect. But you should contact them and discuss your plans.
Doing the work yourself is very feasible, but if not so inclined, you could perhaps contact a local woodworking club, where you may be able to find someone that could do some or most of the interior of the van. However, while the woodwork is a large part of the conversion, several different trades are needed to finish the conversion, like, plumbing, electric, etc. All dependent on your requirements. And you’ll have to feel competent enough to oversee the work and accept the risks involved.
In the end, it will enable you to enjoy a popular lifestyle with comfortable access to some of the most beautiful areas in North America.

      Happy Travels!
