The Shop Fox W1741S 8-inch jointer with spiral cutterhead has a parallelogram table design allows for full adjustability and calibration. With the German-made index-able spiral cutterhead inserts, blade changes and adjustments are a snap. It features a large cast iron fence, sized 36-inches by 1-1/4-inches by 5-inches, a large table, sized 76-3/8 inches by 8 inches by 1-1/2 inches, a magnetic switch with thermal overload protection, and a built-in dust chute with a 4-inch port.

If you set out to design a full featured 8-Inch Jointer, you couldn’t do any better than this. We started with a 3 HP motor and a 4 knife cutter head and added a precision parallelogram table adjustment mechanism, extra long infeed table, large cast iron center mounted fence, pedestal mounted switch and a built-in locking mobile base.
