Mobile Router Table

To take one of my hobbies on the road, I need to build a mobile router table, that folds up small and fits into a small cabinet.

Build

The design first has to be adjusted to the storage area and some hardware needs to be ordered.

Only then can I start with the build by pre-cutting the 1/2in and 3/4in plywood and some Walnut, that will be used for some of the edges. These edges are attached to the side of the plywood with a tongue and groove, that I create on the table saw.

With all the panels ready, it’s time for sanding; for now, it is only to remove the excess glue and smooth the Walnut edges.

In the meantime, I cut several hinges to the right length and use them to figure out where some of the Walnut is glued to the plywood.

Next, the panels for the base cabinet are glued and screwed together.

This project is taking shape and by now, well recognizable, but I will be busy for another few days, before it is finished.
