River House Ruin
RIVER HOUSE RUIN IS A HOUSE WITH A VIEW. IN A SANDSTONE CLIFF LOOKING OUT OVER THE SAN JUAN RIVER.
The cliff contains hundreds of petroglyph panels which extend east to the Butler Wash Petroglyph Panel, just beyond the end of the 4WD road.
Follow the ledge trail to the west, approx. 300 ft. to a small granary ruin site.

From Bluff, go 7 mi. west on Hwy 163. Turn left at mile marker 37, onto SJC 237
River House Trail

Trail Details:
At approx. 0.5 mi. a side trail leads to the Navajo Springs site.
Follow the 4WD track for 4 mi. At this point you can take the track on the right about 0.5 mi. to the river. The left is a 1 mi. steep uphill trail to the ruins.
